Problem
For the past few years, Headspace has required a paid membership to access content. Downloading Headspace to see a bunch of locked content you can’t listen to if you haven’t paid is not a great first impression. In an effort to lower this financial barrier, the Growth team is looking into ways to make pieces of the Headspace library and experience more accessible. If you can’t freely access a meaningful amount of the experience for longer than two weeks, it’s a little hard for us to help you establish a mental health habit.
Hypothesis
If we nudge new, non-paying members to make a commitment to themselves as they're onboarding, ease them into the first session of a free introductory course, and unlock a small portion of our library, they will be more likely to form a mindfulness habit.
